Given the size of the projects we work on and with a strong pipeline of high-profile projects and a reputation for excellence in the civil construction, the advertised role is still a ‘hands on’ role – with most Foreman being skilled machine operators or drainlayers in their own right.

Liaising with the Project Manager in regards to priorities, programme, materials supply and stock levels, troubleshooting and resource requirements.
Liaising with and providing appropriate notice to Sub Contractors for their attendance and scope of work – includes surveyor, concreters, cabling crews, surfacing contractor etc.
Maintain safety levels on site including undertaking site audits.
Keep daily job records detailing staffing levels, weather conditions, incidents, progress and delay.
Lead by example in terms of H&S and work ethic.
What you will bring:
At least 3 years’ experience in a Foreman or leadership role within the civil sector
Proven ability in drainage, earthworks and civil sites
Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage crews
The ability to read and interpret construction plans and specs
A strong understanding of health and safety regulations in the civil sector
Full Class 1 driver’s licence (Class 2 / WTR endorsements a bonus)
If you consider yourself to be a hard worker with a good work ethic and proven experience, then please do not hesitate to send in your CV to reception.tga@alignzrecruitment.co.nzhttps://www.alignzrecruitment.co.nz/vacancies "
