Our client who produces top quality, world class heavy transport trailer solutions based in Avalon, Hamilton. They’re on the lookout for a skilled tradesperson with experience in working with electronic trailers and heavy haulage equipment.
Responsibility
- Maintenance, repairs and assembly of transport equipment
- Diagnosing and fixing faults in trailers and heavy haulage machinery
- Working alongside skilled professionals to complete jobs efficiently
- Quickly identifying and resolving mechanical or electronic issues
- Perform welding, cutting and fabrication tasks as needed to repair or modify trailers and heavy equipment
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, parts used and service schedules
Requirements
- Experience in transport engineering, trailer maintenance or heavy haulage
- Knowledge of electronic trailer systems
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- A great team player with a strong work ethic
- Understanding blueprints, wiring diagrams and engineering plans is an advantage
- Ability to lift heavy components, stand for long periods and work in a physically demanding environment
