Job Description

Do you like getting out and about, have great knowledge of suburbs within Auckland and are comfortable driving a van? We would LOVE to hear from you!

The team at New Zealand Couriers are looking for reliable, go-getters to join our delivery team for the Auckland region. This is an opportunity to learn and have exposure to the role of a Courier Driver. Our focus is to develop a pool of relief courier drivers to help support contractors cover their runs in the event of emergency and planned absence.

This is a permanent full-time position, working Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5.00pm, with some flexibility around hours, based at our Penrose branch.

The role includes:

  • Relief driving to assist contractors with planned and emergency leave within the Auckland Region.
  • Assisting Auckland contractors and branches who require immediate or urgent delivery assistance.
  • Provide general operational support
  • Provide assistance to the Auckland Courier training team



The ideal applicant will:

  • Have a can-do attitude – ready to help out
  • Be able to confidently drive any type of van - both automatic and manual transmission.
  • Have a clean, full driver’s license.
  • Be physically fit - some heavy lifting may be required (up to 25kg)
  • Be a quick learner, with the ability to adapt to fast paced courier runs.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
