We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Permanent Part-Time Chef to work at Hamilton Boys High School This position is Sunday 9am - 7pm & Monday 10:30am - 7pm with a total of 17 hours. More hours may come available. Education terms only, don't worry, this just means you can have more time off with your family or you can pick up extra work across our sites in the region.
Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:
In this position you will be responsible for;
Cooking for approximately 160 boys in the hostel as well as function work.
Ensuring the quality of every dish we service!
This is a busy and dynamic working environment that requires flexibility and would suit someone who is a team player,
Able to work under pressure who can maintain a positive attitude and sense of humour.
You will be working in a great near new large kitchen.
Great work culture in existing team creating yummy healthy meals for our future leaders.
He kōrero mōu / About you:
If you're our ideal candidate you will be:
A qualified chef who is hard working, with a friendly outgoing personality and a 'can do' attitude.
You will already have at least 2 years experience working in a commercial kitchen, and cooking bulk food.
Ideally you will hold food safety certificates (Unit Standard 167 & 168).
A background in a similar environment would be an advantage
Most importantly you will demonstrate a passion for great food, customer service and quality.
You must have full drivers licenses.
