We are currently seeking for multiple Catering Assistants to join our team at Victoria University of Wellington. The ideal candidates will have a flexible attitude and be prepared to work shift work as sites operate 7 days per week. This role is a permanent part time role with a minimum of 15 hours per week during the tertiary education terms. The successful candidate must have the flexibility to work during weekends.
Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:
Basic meal preparation - Cooking/Baking/Grilling
Re-stock and replenishing supplies
Providing a warm, friendly, welcoming and professional style of service to our residents
General cleaning of kitchen/front of house areas
He kōrero mōu / About you:
Be a team player but also able to work autonomously
Demonstrate previous experience in a similar role
Have a flexible approach and attitude
Demonstrate excellent communication skills
Be hard working
Be physically fit and reliable
Ideally hold NZQA Food Handling certificates Units 167 & 168
Have a safety focus and an awareness of health and safety practices and protocols
