We are looking for an enthusiastic Permanent Part time Catering Assistant to work at our Residential Care site in the beautiful and peaceful Algies Bay, Auckland. Hours of work are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 13:30 to 19:00
Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:
In this position you will be responsible for;
- Baking tea time requirements when required - basic baking and confidence to bake for large numbers
- Assist the chef with food plating at dinner time, following day food preparation for breakfast, pure foods and similar.
- Provide excellent customer service skills
- Ensuring kitchen and serving area is kept immaculate, attending to and cleaning dishes
Adhering to all rosters and food safety procedures at all times and using safe food pro.
He kōrero mōu / About you:

- Experienced in a similar role
- Demonstrate excellent and professional customer service
- Ideally hold a food safety certificate (NZQA 167)
- Be hardworking with good communication skills
- Good English communication skills is essential
- Physically fit and reliable, transport essential
- Be able to work independently and as a team player with a proactive 'can do' attitude
- Have a safety focus and an awareness of health and safety practices and protocols
