Job Description

Are you a passionate, and inspiring infants teacher, wanting to commit to your career development? Determined and ambitious to grow into leadership? If you are in the early stages of your career with a goal of leadership then this is your ideal role. We are looking for a qualified and registered teacher that has experience working with infants and is also a desire to work towards a leadership role.

Set in the growing West Auckland community of Westgate and Massey, you’ll find the bespoke and beautiful New Shoots Early Childhood Centre. Native bush on one side and a new subdivision just across the road, it’s the perfect place for families to find their children’s home away from home.

We are looking for an lead teacher with:

  • A kind, genuine, caring nature with a calm and loving approach
  • Strong knowledge around infant pedagogy and care
  • A fun, creative imagination and a passion for engaging with children through play and exploration
  • The ability to create a close knit and cohesive team
  • Experience in a RIE/Pikler inspired centre
  • The ability to see strengths in their teammates and encourage a cohesive and collaborative team culture.
  • A NZ teachers registration and relevant qualification
