He kōrero whakamārama mō tēnei tūranga | About the role
Join Access Community Health/Uru Ātea as an Advanced Support Worker, focusing on evaluating, training, and supporting our general support workforce.

Key Responsibilities:
Community-Based Assessments:
* Evaluate support workers' care practices (e.g., handwashing, moving and handling).
* Provide in-field guidance to improve skills and ensure compliance with policies.
In-Office Leadership:
* Organize and lead workshops to enhance worker competencies.
* Collaborate with care coordination and clinical teams.
Advanced Client Care:
* Deliver complex care and specialized tasks (training provided).
Team Development:
* Offer on-the-job training and mentorship to less experienced workers. This is a blend of community and office-based work, offering a chance to lead, train, and directly improve the quality of care for our clients.

Ngā tohungatanga mō tēnei tūranga | About you
* Positive, can-do attitude and experience in behaviour management is a plus.
* Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel (training provided).
* Able to work effectively within multi-disciplinary teams (e.g., Palliative Care, Home-Based Nursing, Support Worker Coordination).
* Must have a full or restricted New Zealand driver's license.
* Level 4 Health and Wellbeing Certificate (or equivalent), or Level 3 with a plan to complete Level 4. * Career force Assessor Qualification is a plus.
