About the Role: We’re seeking experienced Welder/Fabricators to join our team in Canterbury. This role is perfect for individuals who are confident working with a range of welding methods and both light and heavy fabrication work.

We’re especially interested in those who can work across MIG, TIG, and ARC welding, as well as various metals (such as stainless steel) and fabrication types.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out welding and fabrication across diverse projects and materials.
  • Accurately read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Use a range of welding techniques including MIG, TIG, and ARC.
  • Prepare and work with various metal stocks for fabrication.
  • Perform both light and heavy fabrication work, including shaping, bending, and assembly.
  • Work with structural and non-structural metals, including stainless steel, mild steel, and aluminum.
  • Examine and finish welds to meet high-quality standards.
  • Join components through welding, bolting, or riveting as needed.


Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ hands-on welding and fabrication experience.
  • Confidence across multiple welding techniques (MIG, TIG, ARC) and material types.
  • Experience with both light and heavy fabrication.
  • Familiarity with stainless steel work is a plus.
  • Trade qualifications preferred – but strong practical experience will be considered.
  • Own tools and reliable transport required.
  • Two work references.
  • Solid commitment to Health & Safety.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.
