The Role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi
You will report to the Team Coach and join our Acute Alternative Hutt Day Service. We provide an alternative care option to traditional hospital settings for people in mental distress, with high mental health support needs.
You will build an exemplar activity wellbeing programme to help tangata whai ora realise physical health equity and outcomes.
Responsibilities include:
- Advocate and support people to be well and thrive.
- Connect them with resources that support them in living well and assist them in building resilience
- Help people connect with their communities, building the relationships that matter most
- Foster positive change for a more positive life
- Provide medication support for our people.
Shifts available
Role 1: Friday to Monday, 8.30am – 5.00pm
Role 2: Friday to Monday, 12.30pm – 9.30pm

You | Mōu
We are interested to hear from people who have a caring nature and work in a recovery and strengths-focused way.
You will also have:
- Current NZ full driver’s licence
- Current first aid certificate or be willing to obtain one
- Applicants must hold the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZCHW) or a recognised equivalent.
- The ability to work effectively with peers from diverse cultures and backgrounds, especially Māori and Pasifika communities and their whānau
