Description

Responsibilities of the Medical Receptionist include:

  • Greet all visitors and callers to the practice in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Register new patients, ensuring accurate and complete documentation, and input relevant information into our medical system.
  • Scan and upload documents onto our electronic medical records system, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with confidentiality protocols.
  • Prepare and send letters to patients as required, maintaining clear and effective communication.
  • Handle photocopying of notes and other essential information, ensuring proper organisation and storage.
  • Schedule appointments for patients, demonstrating a thorough understanding of patient confidentiality and attention to detail.
  • Manage reception responsibilities, ensuring efficient patient flow and minimising wait times.
  • Perform various administrative tasks to support the smooth operations.
  • Provide excellent customer care to all patients, addressing inquiries and concerns in a compassionate and respectful manner.


Profile

The successful Medical Receptionist will posses:

  • Experience in a similar role, preferably within a health care environment.
  • Strong organisational skills and keen attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and electronic medical records.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of patient confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Empathetic and compassionate approach when dealing with patients.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to collaborate.
  • Previous experience in medical terminology and procedures is advantageous.
