Job Description

We’re committed to providing exceptional support services for our clients and looking for an experienced, empathetic and outgoing Support Workers to join our team and work with one of our clients, having Traumatic brain injury based in Invercargill.

As a Support Worker, you will provide essential care and support to individuals with unique needs contributing to their overall wellbeing to lead fulfilling lives.

Key Requirements:

  • Qualification in Healthcare, disability support or related field (Level 3 or Level 4)
  • Competency in Hoist and Seizure monitoring
  • Competency in PEG Feed
  • Competency in Trauma response
  • Previous paediatric experience
  • Own transport with a clean and valid Restricted/Full driver’s license
  • Legitimate NZ work rights
  • A clean Police check and VCA
  • Attention to detail
  • Professionally presentable and respectful


Available Shifts:

  • Thursday and Friday 09.00-15.00 (with the opportunity to pick up more shifts as they become available)


Responsibilities:

  • Assist with daily tasks such as personal care, bathing, PEG feeding and Seizure monitoring
  • Usage of hoist equipment correctly and efficiently
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care, developmental therapies and medication
  • Mobility, positioning, grooming, general home help and community participation
