We are looking for an enthusiastic Permanent Part-Time (20 hours a week) Catering Assistant to join at one of our senior living sites CHT Hillcrest in Mangere.
Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:
In this position you will be responsible for;
Plating all breakfast requirement for residents, cooking porridge and serving cereals fruits etc.
Baking tea time requirements - basic baking and confidence to bake for large numbers
Assist the chef with food plating at lunch time
Provide excellent customer service skills
Ensuring kitchen and serving area is kept immaculate, attending to and cleaning dishes
Adhering to all rosters and food safety procedures at all times and using safe food pro.

If you're our successful candidate;
You will have high standards in personal presentation, highly empathetic and compassionate as well as a have a friendly, helpful, outgoing personality with a 'can do' attitude.
Have an interest in supporting others and providing exceptional levels of service and have a natural affinity with people in an aged care facility.
You will demonstrate good working knowledge of commercial cleaning and infection control procedures and be flexible to work under short notice.
Ideally you will have previous cleaning experience in an aged care environment.
Most importantly you will demonstrate a passion for customer service and quality.
