Key Responsibilities:

As a Manager for Accounts Receivable and Billing, your role will be pivotal in revolutionising our client's finance operations. You will be responsible for guiding a team to establish best practice processes for billing, direct debit management, and debt collection. Your focus will be on enhancing financial operations while boosting customer satisfaction. You will also play an integral role in process enhancement & standardisation, team leadership & development, revenue management, and stakeholder management.

  • Revamp billing and direct debit collection processes with customer experience as the primary focus
  • Develop and implement standardised processes for student fees collection via direct debit
  • Set up service level agreements for query resolution that prioritise quick response to align with apprentice needs
  • Map existing processes to identify inefficiencies and pain points
  • Develop and document improved billing and collections processes
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team fostering a customer-first culture within the accounts receivable function
  • Ensure invoices are raised accurately and within agreed time-frames to maximise revenue
  • Build strong relationships with training advisers/account managers and other internal stakeholders


Key Requirements:

The ideal candidate for the Manager for Accounts Receivable and Billing position brings extensive experience in accounts receivable, credit control, or billing management. They have demonstrated success in process enhancement and implementation, along with a strong track record of leading customer-focused teams. Their expertise includes managing direct debit processes and billing procedures. They possess strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial information for non-financial stakeholders.

  • 5+ years of experience in accounts receivable, credit control, or billing management
  • Demonstrated experience in process enhancement and implementation
  • Strong track record in leading customer-focused teams preferred
  • Experience in managing direct debit processes and billing processes
  • Proven ability to map and enhance operational processes
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate financial information for non-financial stakeholders
