Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Governance Services Officer to join their team. In this role, you will work closely with the Governance Services Lead, providing high-quality administrative support and advice to Council, its Committees, Sub-Committees, and Community Boards. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the implementation and improvement of Governance Policy and Practice.
About the role:
As a Governance Services Officer, reporting directly to the Governance Services Lead, you will be responsible for;
- Providing high quality and efficient governance meeting services
- Preparing board minutes for council, committee, and community meetings
- Ensuring all processes adhere to relevant legislation
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Timely provision of support services
About you:
- 3 years + experience in a governance support role or similar.
- You would be proficient in capturing and preparing high-quality governance meeting minutes and have sound working knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures relating to local government!
- Proven experience in building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Possess strong planning, organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask
- Have a full NZ drivers licence
