The role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi You will be reporting to the Team Coach and working in a team of youth workers. Young people will stay in our home-like retreat for short periods while they are supported by trained youth mental health and addiction workers.
This is a full-time role based in New Plymouth. You will be working Monday – Friday, 8am – 4:30pm.
About You | Mōu: We’re looking for a savvy and energised youth worker to join our growing service.
You will have:
A National Certificate in Mental Health and Addiction Support Work (Level 4) or National Certificate in Youth Work.
An understanding of trauma-informed care and working with young people.
Full NZ driver’s licence.
An understanding of Information Technology – Microsoft Office preferred.
A current New Zealand first aid certificate or be prepared to obtain one.
Previous experience in youth work, social work, mental health, and addiction preferred.
