ABOUT THE COMPANY
Our client is a NZ family owned and operated business who have been in business for over 65 years. They play a major part in the NZ agricultural industry. They are committed to providing good, fresh nutricious food to your table.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The role is based in Rakaia with 30 hours minimum per week. The role would be across five days Monday to Friday and normal shifts are 7am/3pm and during peak season and shorter weeks hours need to stretch to accommodate orders so shifts are normally 7am/6pm. Saturday shifts are required from time to time but are infrequent.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Production Planning and Coordination:
  • Develop and manage daily and weekly production schedules based on sales orders, inventory levels, and operational capacity.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure on-time delivery and optimal resource utilization.
  • Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure the availability of raw materials and timely dispatch of finished goods.


Sales Alignment:

  • Work closely with the sales team to anticipate order volumes, seasonal trends, and customer requirements.
  • Adjust production schedules to meet changes in demand, minimizing waste and maintaining efficiency.


Food Safety and Compliance:

  • Ensure all production activities adhere to food safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to maintain high standards of hygiene, traceability, and product safety.


Data Management:

  • Accurately enter and maintain production data in the company’s systems, ensuring real-time updates for inventory and reporting purposes.
  • Generate reports and analyze production performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.


Team Management:

  • Liaise with supervisors, machine operators, and other staff to communicate plans and address any production challenges.
  • Support cross-training initiatives to enhance team flexibility and multi-skilling.


ABOUT YOU

Our ideal candidates will have the below skillset;

  • Proven experience in production planning, preferably in the fresh produce or FMCG sector.
  • Solid understanding of food safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficiency in data entry and familiarity with production planning software or ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across teams.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards.
  • Proactive approach to identifying and resolving potential issues.
  • Capacity to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
