P wC’s Sustainability, Climate & Nature (SC&N) team helps organisations to look at the bigger picture, by striking a balance between staying competitive, driving innovation and preserving our natural environment. We have a multi-disciplinary advisory offering that encompasses climate and nature-related risks, opportunities and disclosures, sustainable supply chains, decarbonisation, sustainability and ESG strategy, with strong links into PwC’s globally leading sustainability and climate change network.

Our team and passion continues to grow and as a result we are looking for a Manager in our Tāmaki Makaurau / Auckland office to help our clients navigate the world of sustainability and climate change. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Ngā pūkenga kei a koe / Skills and experience

  • As a Manager within the Sustainability & Climate Change team, you will have:
  • 5+ years professional experience in either a consulting role or a sustainability-focused role within a private or public sector organisation with experience in people management
  • A comprehensive understanding of sustainability reporting and disclosure methodologies and frameworks (TCFD, TNFD GRI, SASB, SDGs, Integrated Reporting, etc)
  • Detailed awareness of key sustainability and climate change issues including the science of climate change, sustainable supply chain and procurement considerations, climate change risks, green economy transition, global regulatory and political considerations etc
  • An indepth understanding of the New Zealand sustainable business and regulatory landscape with respect to climate change
  • ETS and carbon management knowledge including GHGs
  • Nature-related experience including use of geospatial tools and international frameworks
  • Strong commercial acumen including the ability to coach others and shape a client proposition
  • Project management skills including budget management, proven ability to execute on a range of project types (in terms of size and complexity)


Workshop and proposal development skills

  • A self starter with the ability to be self directed and manage competing priorities
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and inter-personal skills
  • Strong data analytics and problem solving skills
