The role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi
You will be reporting to the Team Coach and working in a team of youth workers.
This is a full-time, fixed-term role based in New Plymouth. You will be working Monday – Friday, 8am – 4:30pm. This position is fixed term until June 2025.
About You | Mōu:
We’re looking for a savvy and energised youth worker to join our growing service.
You will have:
- A National Certificate in Mental Health and Addiction Support Work (Level 4) or National Certificate in Youth Work.
- An understanding of trauma-informed care and working with young people.
- Full NZ driver’s licence.
- An understanding of Information Technology – Microsoft Office preferred.
- A current New Zealand first aid certificate or be prepared to obtain one.
- Previous experience in youth work, social work, mental health, and addiction preferred.
- Māori and Pasifika are strongly encouraged to apply for this role. We also encourage people with lived experience to apply.
