We’re looking for a māia (courageous) and tika (authentic) senior leader to help achieve our vision.

Pathways | Mō mātou
Pathways is a leading national provider of community-based mental health, addiction, and wellbeing services in Aotearoa. We are committed to being a good tangata Tiriti and what that means for our organisation. We’re all about transforming mental health and addictions through our Pathways (adult) and Real (youth) services. In fact, we have been doing it for over 30 years, supporting over 6,000 people each year.

The benefits | Ngā āhuatanga kei a mātou
In addition to a generous package, we value you by

  • Investing in your professional development and career
  • Supporting your professional registration and supervision
  • Prioritising coaching and support from your manager and team

Role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi
As the Service and Relationship Manager in Kirikiriroa, you will be one of three managers in the Te Manawa Taki rohe, reporting to the Regional General Manager. You will be part of a national group of managers who form the Pathways and Real leadership team, and your support network.

You will have the cultural support of our national and regional Māori leadership to ensure we are tika and pono in all that we do. You will also have opportunities to develop your own capacity with Te Reo Māori me ōna tikanga and matauranga Māori. This is a priority for Pathways and Real.

We blend clinical competence and capability, partnering with our Community support workers, Youth and Peer specialists to deliver support that is person and whānau-centred. Our practice is guided by evidence-based frameworks, interwoven with trauma-informed and Peer principles.

In this role, you will lead and inspire your team coaches to build highly engaged teams that deliver their best for our community-based mental health, addiction, and wellbeing services. Your role supports both Adult and Youth services under the Pathways and REAL brand.

This is a permanent full-time role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 5.00pm. The role is based in Kirikiriroa with regional obligations and has a second on-call component.

You | Mōu
We’re looking for an exceptional senior manager, who enjoys a high energy environment to take the reins and support our community-based mental health, addiction and wellbeing services. You’ll be comfortable working within a Māori context and familiar with Te Reo Māori me ōna tikanga. You are a dynamic leader, great communicator, a self-starter. You are happy to work autonomously, compassionate, and a great individual with the ability to inspire those around you.

You’ll thrive in the role because you enjoy supporting and mentoring your leaders, so every member is engaged and able to flourish and provide exceptional service to those we support.

  • You’re innovative, self-motivated, resilient, and an influencer of change, with a passion for evolving services and growing people.
  • You will have an understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and how that applies to practice.
  • You will have a basic use and understanding of Te Reo Māori.
  • You are a great writer, comfortable managing contracts, reporting, and compliance requirements.
  • We’ve mentioned you need to have leadership experience, and great networking abilities, but we need something more. You will have a clinical background with experience working in mental health or addictions and knowledge of the wider health and social sectors, and you’ll be focused on providing person and whānau-centered care.
  • Navigating complex things won’t bother you because you are curious, love data and context, driven to make a difference by removing barriers and finding creative solutions alongside our valued partners.
