Utilising your understanding of our business objectives and customer needs, you’ll deliver accurate quotes to our sales team to enhance the efficiency and competitiveness of our products.
Location: This position is available at any of our North Island Sales Centres including Frankton, Hastings, New Plymouth, Mt Maunganui, Petone, Palmerston North, or Whangarei.

Our Role

As a Pricing Estimator you will have a sound ability to read and understand technical drawings, competent computer skills, and an eye for detail!
The purpose of the role is to provide complete quotations to Humes internal and external customers that are accurate, innovative and timely, that ensure agreed cost and target margins are achieved. To interpret contract documents and provide the sales team with superior support, thus enabling them to win work.
We want to be number one in our key markets, so your goal is to build strong rapport with internal and external stakeholders, through delivering outstanding service in your role. There is a great focus on thorough onboarding and development to ensure you are given the knowledge and tools to be able carry out the role to the best of your abilities.
What You Will Bring
- A Diploma in Civil Engineering, Estimating, Quantity Surveying, or a relevant qualification (advantageous but not essential).
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Experience in pricing and sales within relevant industries and markets.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
- An enthusiastic, can-do approach.
