We have an exciting opportunity for a Community Programme Specialist based in Nathan Homestead Pukepuke. We’re looking for strong candidates experienced in stakeholder engagement, event planning and community development.
This role provides leadership and subject matter expertise in the development and delivery of highly engaging and impactful programmes of activities and events. You will be responsible for strengthening and maintaining existing relationships with stakeholders, working alongside programme partners as well as developing new relationships and creating memorable events.
Based at Nathan Homestead, Manurewa’s beloved arts centre, this is a full-time 40-hour position, working generally Monday to Friday with the occasional requirement to work outside of normal business hours and Saturdays based on the programming needs.
Among others, your day-to-day duties will be to:
- Respond to the needs and priorities of the Manurewa local board and community by creating powerful programme opportunities.
- Engage key audiences in this local board area and drive high-levels of participation and recommendation.
- Empower and enable our diverse community by building networks and creating opportunities & partnerships.
- Identify and invest in smart and innovative approaches to programme work and work alongside programme partners

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is inspired and excited about working with our diverse Manurewa community, we will be looking for:
Experience in leading community-based initiatives and knowledge of programme planning & project management.
Strong communication, relationship-building skills, and ability to foster community engagement are essential.
Experience working to a budget as well as measuring and reporting on outcomes.
Understanding and commitment to relationships with Māori in Tāmaki Makaurau, with basic te reo Māori skills preferred.

Salary Band F, we would be looking to appoint the successful applicant at a salary of between $73 - 86k, depending upon experience.
