Our client is currently experiencing a sustained period of positive growth and ongoing success. They are looking for someone motivated to join them in their journey on a contract basis covering for maternity leave.
The main focus of the role is to assist in the preparation of accurate and timely financial and management accounting information for management purposes.
Key responsibilities include:
Preparation of the monthly trial balance and management reporting
Preparation of the monthly Board reports
Reviewing all month end journals
Assisting with the preparation of interim and year end statutory accounts
Assisting with the preparation of working papers required by the external auditors
Assisting with all IFRS model updates and maintenance
The ideal candidate will be either a newly qualified CA/CPA or be close to qualifying. Demonstrated accounting and finance experience with at least 4-6 years practical experience in a corporate environment of chartered accounting practice is required as is practical grounding in the NZ IFRS financial reporting standards.
You will also exhibit exceptional communication skills and have the ability to liaise with all levels within the organisation.
Your Excel skills will be at the intermediate/advanced level and you will have had previous exposure to internal accounting systems.
