We are looking for an experienced individual who wants to be part of a thriving team that is responsible for fostering and enabling strong community partnerships and prevention outcomes. The Māori and Communities Prevention Partnerships team are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Family Harm Prevention team on a fixed term basis for a period of 12 months.

To support the delivery of the outcomes you will be expected to have a strong understanding of the effects Family Harm has on our communities and understand the mechanics of government and government processes in terms of the budgetary/contracting requirements.

To support the delivery of these outcomes, we are looking for a suitable candidate for the role of Senior Advisor Business Support.

This role will work closely with the Manager, Family Harm Investment and Advisory and the Manager Family Harm Prevention to ensure that the staff within the Family Harm Prevention Team are supported in delivering high quality service delivery within Police and for the Māori Pacific and Ethnic communities.

You will be working with a high performing, innovative and committed team. The successful applicant will be instrumental in leading and embedding future change within Police and in partnership with others.

Alongside National Coordinators within the FH Partnerships and FH Response team this role will support and enable the transition of relevant change programme initiatives, specific components of Te Aorerekura, the national strategy for the elimination of Family Violence and Sexual Violence.

Ngā kawenga matua | Key Accountabilities:

  • Provide support to the National Family Harm Team (Response and Partnerships).
  • Ensure responses, to requests for advice or information, are prompt, accurate and provided within a quality customer service framework.
  • Support and manage agreements, including drafting, reviewing and monitoring to ensure consistent best practice and funding and contracting processes are followed, including Social Sector Commissioning principles and ensuring pay equity uplifts are included in the contracts.
  • Oversee account management including billing, financial reporting activities and reporting.
  • Management of the Police hosted Childrens Flexi Fund, providing National level support both internalyl and externally as well as procurement activities and ongoing implementation of evaluation recommendations.
  • Collaborate with external government agencies including Te Puna Aonui as well as iwi and communities engaged with delivering Te Aorerekura, the National strategy for the elimination of Family Violence and Sexual violence.

 Utu ā-tau | Salary
This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence between $110,425 and $117,014 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
