Role Overview: Assessment and development of behavioural plans for children with disabilities (mainly ASD), as well as staff training. Ideal for an independent contractor or a graduate with some experience. This autonomous role involves client-facing time and participation in multi-disciplinary meetings within RDNS and with third parties.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct functional assessments and develop behaviour support plans.
Provide timely intervention recommendations.
Apply evidence-based, strength-based, and culturally considerate approaches.
Train and educate support staff, establishing clear performance expectations.
Coach and support the team to maximize Tamariki/Rangatahi independence.
Qualifications:
Registered with the Board of Psychologists under the general scope of practice.
Board Certified Behaviour Analyst or eligible to sit the exam.
2+ years' experience in a related field.
Commitment to ngā tikanga me te reo Māori.
