Our transport division, APL Direct, transports aluminium, glass, and associated products throughout New Zealand.

Job Description
We currently have the perfect opportunity for an enthusiastic driver with a willingness to learn. The ideal applicant would have a passion for trucks and the transport industry as a whole. Our team of drivers are the face of our company and have the responsibility of operating a modern purpose-built fleet specifically designed to cart our extrusion to customers and manufacturers throughout the country.

In this role, you will receive:

  • Extensive training and guidance from our experienced team
  • Opportunities and assistance in furthering your truck driving career
  • A minimum of 40 hours a week

  • Excellent working conditions


We are searching for someone like you, who has:

  • A minimum Full Class 1 license is required, class 2 is preferred, personal drive and an eagerness to learn from the best is what will set you apart
  • An “F” endorsement forklift is advantageous, but not essential as full training will be given
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work unsupervised
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Impeccable safety standards
  • Previous experience with curtain side and flat deck vehicles would be advantageous
