Join our dynamic team at the Air New Zealand Lounge in Nelson as a Catering Assistant. This is a Casual Position, hours of work are on "as an when required" basis upon business needs. In this role, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality food and beverage service, ensuring our customers have a memorable and relaxing experience.
Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:
Provide proactive and friendly food and beverage service to customers.
Set up, clean, and maintain lounge areas, ensuring a welcoming environment.
Prepare and serve beverages, including espresso coffee, responsibly.
Assist in the preparation and presentation of food items, adhering to food safety standards.
Communicate effectively with team members and customers to ensure a high level of service.
He kōrero mōu / About you:
Experience in a similar role with good communication skills.
Flexible approach and attitude, being a good team player.
Physically fit and reliable with a valid Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate.
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
Previous experience in a catering environment and NZQA Food Handling Certificate (Units 167 & 168) are desirable.
