Manufacturing and production scheduling people - we are looking for you!

We are seeking a methodical and detail-oriented Production and Procurement Planner / Scheduler to join work closely with the mechanical engineering, production and assembly teams. Our business is growing so this is your opportunity to make this role your own. You will certainly become pivotal to our team.

About the role:

• Provide support to the Manufacturing Manager
• Keep the production schedule up to date daily and liaise with admin / sales / production personnel.
• Make Kanban cards (as required).
• Ensure material and information is available when required.
• Load jobs for production and assembly depts and sign-off jobs completed job packs.
• Ensure production & assembly personnel have all the information available when required (i.e. drawings, travellers, CNC data sheets, QA & inspection criteria).
• Ensure stock records are accurate and updated as required and keep all information up to date.
• Set up part numbers and update weekly dashboard.
• Place orders and chase with suppliers in a timely manner to ensure the materials are available when required.

About you:

• At least 5 years' experience in a similar manufacturing planning/scheduling role would be preferred.
• A strong eye for detail and a methodical approach is a must.
• Competency with IT, purchasing and production systems (training will be provided).
• Take initiative where required and problem solve in an effective manner.
• Excellent team player with very good communication skills - able to communicate with shopfloor staff and customers alike.
• Get stuck in and do whatever needs to be done, we all work hard and play hard here.
• Able to work in NZ with no visa restrictions.
