We are looking for an Intermediate Technician to join our team in Tauranga. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to get stuck into a career working outdoors with geotechnical and environmental monitoring equipment!
Duties include:
- Assembling, configuring, and deploying telemetry equipment and sensors
- Monitoring field instruments, processing of data and reporting
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing problems with electronic equipment and monitoring hardware
- Instrument data integration with our software
- Supporting existing projects and customers through periodic field maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure continuity of high-quality service
What You'll Bring:
- A full New Zealand driver's license as some travel will be required
- An interest in working outdoors
- You'll have proven interest or basic experience in electronics (professional, personal, or through your studies).
- Similar industry experience would be beneficial
- Have practical experience using various power and hand tools
- Ability to lift 20kg+ regularly
- Have good communication skills and will be comfortable interfacing with various customer representatives on projects
- Have desire for ongoing learning and the ability to develop new skills and knowledge independently
- Be competent on a computer, as aspects of this role involve working on our telemetry platform
- Want a job that involves a mix of in-office technical work and getting outdoors to deploy equipment. The role will often take you to remote and interesting locations to carry out fieldwork alongside our other team members.
- You will be part of a team but will be required to work independently under the direction of the Team Leader.
