About the Role

As our Associate Night Manager in Queenstown, you'll be the friendly face of Haka House after the sun goes down, ensuring our guests have a safe, comfortable, and memorable stay. You'll be responsible for overseeing the hostel's operations during the night shift, maintaining a positive atmosphere, and providing exceptional customer service. Think of it as being the night owl guardian of our awesome community! πŸ¦‰

The Role Will Involve

  • Overseeing the smooth running of the hostel overnight.
  • Checking guests in and out efficiently and warmly.
  • Maintaining security and safety of the premises and guests.
  • Responding to guest inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Ensuring the hostel is clean, tidy, and well-maintained during the night.
  • Completing daily reports and communicating effectively with the day shift manager.
  • Contributing to a positive and welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
  • Light cleaning and maintenance tasks as needed.

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

  • Proven experience in a customer service or hospitality role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Experience with night shift work is preferred.
