About Silverdale Medical
Silverdale Medical is an established Clinical Trials site conducting high-quality research in a primary care setting. We are currently seeking MD graduates interested in clinical trials work for 1-4 sessions per week.
This role is ideal for internationally trained doctors looking to register with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) under the Research Special Purpose Scope. Silverdale Medical will provide the required supervision and mentorship to support your registration.
Research Special Purpose Scope - Eligibility
This scope is for doctors temporarily working in New Zealand to undertake research. It is granted for a maximum of two years and is restricted to research projects that have received approval from a formally constituted ethics committee in New Zealand.
To be eligible, candidates must:
Hold a primary medical degree from a university listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools
Have an offer to participate in an ethics-approved research project
Limit clinical practice to research-related activities
Employment Terms:
Contract Type: Fixed-term, part-time (1-4 sessions per week)
Trial Period: 90 days from the start of employment

Fluency in English (written and spoken) with strong communication skills
Exceptional attention to detail and meticulous record-keeping
Ability to take feedback constructively and adapt quickly
Strong teamwork and flexibility, willing to assist in a range of research duties
Accuracy-driven mindset, capable of handling logs, audits, and compliance checks
Tech-savvy, with the ability to quickly learn and navigate research software
Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with precision
