The Senior Manager, Risk and Portfolio Optimisation leads and is accountable for the management and oversight of enterprise risk and portfolio performance consolidated from the Programme and initiative level. This role ensures transformation initiatives are executed efficiently while mitigating risks that could impact delivery, timelines or business objectives. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, the Senior Manager is accountable for developing risk management portfolio plans, monitors portfolio health, and provides insights to senior leadership for informed decision-making. The position is also accountable for continuous improvement and simplification in risk and portfolio governance, ensuring that practices stay aligned with industry trends and best practices for operational resilience and success.
• Accountable for the development and implement risk management approach and plans to identify, assess and mitigate risks across the enterprise transformation portfolio, including early warning indicators.
• Accountable to ensure Programme Managers and Delivery Leads provide quality risk mitigations, insights and interventions.
• Lead portfolio optimisation by working closely with Delivery teams ensuring alignment with organisational goals while minimising risk exposure.
• Accountable to collaborate with risk partners and risk leads to proactively identify risks within initiatives and programmes and create mitigations ensuring effective execution and delivery of outcomes.
• Accountable to the monitoring and management of portfolio health, track key metrics, regular insights to senior leadership, offering recommendations and decision making.
• Collaborates with Delivery teams and stakeholders across business units, portfolio health and risk partners, fostering accountability and risk awareness.
• Accountable for continuous improvement in risk management and portfolio governance processes, incorporating best practices.
• Accountable for providing portfolio level information and insights to senior leadership and stakeholders on risk status, portfolio health, and optimisation opportunities to ensure transparency and effective governance.
• Contribute to pragmatic portfolio management, influencing and fostering a high-performance culture as required.

• Qualification - Bachelors in Business, Finance, Risk management, Project management or related field
• 5+ years of experience in managing risk and optimising portfolio performance in large scale, complex environments.
•Proven track record of leading and delivering complex transformation projects, with experience in risk mitigation, cost control and timely delivery
•Demonstrated ability to manage relations with senior leadership, key business stakeholders
• Hands on experience with risk governance, compliance, and adherence to regulatory requirements
