Kōrero mō te Tūranga - About the Role

This role is multi-faceted and will suit you if you can demonstrate excellence in relationship management and collaboration across a wide range of internal and external stakeholders on biosecurity matters.

You'll lead and facilitate engagement with industry stakeholders so will be expert at building and fostering successful relationships, and you will bring a customer-centric approach with you.

You will be a confident communicator and someone who is able to adeptly navigate and foster relationships in order to achieve shared goals and objectives for the purpose of improving how we prepare for and respond to biosecurity threats.

With an extremely varied workday you will be coordinating with internal SME's to develop readiness products with industry and reacting to industry enquiries.

Primary industry experience, a background in biosecurity along with a familiarity with government processes and the machinery of government is ideal but not necessary. Otherwise primary sector knowledge and science-based (particularly in the plant/pest space).
