Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic Project Testing Manager to lead testing for a Greenfield warehouse project based with our client in Auckland.

The role:

Testing Analysis, Planning & Monitoring:

  • Develop the Master Test Plan in line with the QA framework, covering scope, objectives, timelines, resources, and dependencies.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to synchronise all testing activities with project timelines.
  • Identify and train both business and technical personnel, manage work allocation, and oversee workloads to ensure efficient resource utilisation.

Testing Management & Communication:

  • Execute quality testing strategies, including the development of plans, test cases, and summary reports to ensure project quality assurance.
  • Collaborate with external teams to conduct systems integration testing and user acceptance testing.
  • Partner with business analysts to establish traceability for all project or release requirements, ensuring thorough peer review, validation, and approval of test artifacts.
  • Work flexibly and supportively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth IT operations.



The successful candidate will have:

  • Proven experience in managing the deliverables of a team as a Test Manager in end-to-end solution delivery.
  • Experience in developing frameworks (processes, tools, and templates) for testing activities.
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring other test analysts.
  • Detailed understanding of testing methodologies and techniques, including unit, system, regression, progression, integration, performance (stress, load, and limit), and UAT.
  • Thorough understanding of testing benchmarking and metrics.
  • Ability to influence change with a strategic approach.
  • Understanding of key business functions in the logistics/distribution industry and the associated supporting technologies.
  • Knowledge of large-scale software development, including SDLC techniques such as Agile.

Please note this is a 12-month fixed term, salaried, contract to start ASAP. The role is based in Auckland and will require being on-site, both in head office and the warehouse.
