Easy steel is on the hunt for a results-driven Account Manager to join our team in Hamilton, (working across) the Waikato region. If you're a people-person with a knack for delivering outstanding sales results and want to be part of a company that values innovation and collaboration—this role is for you!

Main responsibilities will see you:

  • Managing a diverse customer portfolio, driving sales growth, and seizing every opportunity to maximise profitability.
  • Building strong relationships and being the go-to person for your customers; understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions with the highest level of service.
  • Providing valuable market, competitor, and customer insights to guide strategic decision-making within our team.
  • Hitting the road to visit clients across the region, both new and existing, helping you stay connected and in tune with their needs, along with being comfortable helping around the sales office when needed
  • Collaborating with internal teams like the Area Manager, Sales, and Supply Chain, as well as build meaningful connections with external stakeholders—most importantly, your customers!


What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong work ethic with ability of meeting deadlines reliably, taking initiative and being proactive in tackling challenges.
  • You thrive and contribute to the team environment/culture but also know how to take charge and lead your day-to-day. Not afraid to ask for help and be part of the solution for your teammates.
  • A proven sales professional with previous experience in account management / business development and a strong understanding of sales principles.
  • You are business-minded, financially savvy, and always looking for opportunities to drive value.
  • Your customer-centric nature, natural people skills and ability to solve problems make you a trusted partner for customers.
  • Confident using tools like Excel, Word, and company-specific systems—plus, you’re eager to learn more in a technical industry where your ability to pick up new product information is key.
