Metlifecare Development Programme

About the role
We are looking for a high performing and experienced Senior Project Manager to manage several development projects with a value of about $100m. You will execute specific capital projects, ensuring that these key strategic projects are delivered to the required Metlifecare programme, budget and quality standards.
Some of the responsibilities for this role include:
- Management of tender, tender evaluation, contract compilation and contractor selection process.
- Managing consultant teams, construction companies and other stakeholders involved in the delivery of the project.
- Managing project completion including close out of all defects and handover to the operations team.
- Assist in the implementation of innovative construction methodologies to ensure continuous improvement in the way we deliver our projects.
- Contract management
- Programme management, cost management and project reporting.
About you
You'll have commercial property development / project management experience and will hit the ground running with drive and direction. Things that will support your application:
- Construction Management or Project Management experience with residential or commercial construction. Experience within the retirement industry is highly beneficial. This includes experience with writing programmes, review of Contractor's programmes and reporting on the same.
- A degree qualification in Property, Project Management, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline or a trade qualification with main contractor experience.
- Detailed understanding of regulatory framework around project development including the RMA, NZ Building Act, Construction Contracts Act and NZ Building code.
- Involvement in managing design processes in accordance with NZCIC guidelines.
- Demonstrable experience in achieving building consent and Code Compliance Certificates and Green star accreditation for medium to large scale projects.
- Demonstrable experience procuring and managing construction projects for medium to large scale projects.
- An understanding and experience in administering the NZS3910, NZS3916 and NZS3915 suites.
