He angitūtanga: The opportunity
As a Digital Architect, you will be key in translating business needs and project requirements into practical architecture and solution designs that guide digital delivery. Working closely with digital product teams and business stakeholders, the role ensures decisions align with strategic goals while guiding projects from concept to delivery. This includes recommending off-the-shelf systems or bespoke builds, ensuring compliance with architectural frameworks, and exploring emerging technologies to deliver innovative, cost-effective outcomes.

This role is also responsible for maintaining the quality, integrity, and operational success of digital solutions while driving simplification and standardisation. It provides architectural guidance, supports governance processes, and mentors junior staff to strengthen design thinking and technical skills. With a focus on continuous improvement, privacy compliance, and best practice, the role contributes to post-implementation reviews and manages our architecture repository. As an advocate for enterprise design, you’ll help shape future digital capabilities and drive meaningful change.
