Do you have great news judgement, excellent contacts, a flair for writing and a drive to succeed?
Come and join the award-winning team that sets the day’s news agenda.
Your challenge will be to present the day’s news in a way that engages our audience.
We expect interviews that will make people late for work, because they can’t stop listening.
Working for Mike Hosking Breakfast requires flexibility and the ability to adapt to sometimes rapidly changing scenarios. You’ll also need to be happy to take direction, and be able to back your own decisions.
In return, we will offer you a challenging yet supportive environment. You will be given regular feedback, and the opportunity to learn from one of the best news teams in the country. This role would also give you the skills to see news from a broader perspective, and have input into how a whole show comes together.
Production experience isn’t necessary, but a good attitude is. A journalism qualification or experience in journalism is a must.
All applicants will be asked about their working rights in New Zealand (eg citizen, resident, visa, no visa etc).
