- Supportive and collaborative working environment
- Forget the commute - Porirua base - and flexible working options
Mō mātou - About us
We are a not for profit organisation that has been around for over 100+ years, but that doesn't make us stuffy or old fashioned, in fact it means our experience has created the opportunity to be innovative and at the top of our game when it comes to what we do.
Presbyterian Support Central’s (PSC) deliver services for tamariki and their whānau which are provided by Family Works, while our Residential Aged Care Homes are provided by Enliven. We have 14 residential Homes from Taranaki to the Wellington Region, and employee over 1000 team members.
We are one of the best kept secrets in NZ - we are connected to the communities we serve, and our teams of people are driven by supporting the lives of others through the work they do. It's a meaningful place to work and our teams share a passion for being people-centric in all that we do.
Mō te tūranga - About the role
Our payroll team is a small team of two so we are looking for someone to work closely with our Senior Payroll Advisor to manage our fortnightly payroll, deal with pay queries and deliver timely, accurate and efficient pay processing.
We work under both collective and individual employment terms across our organisation and as such there is an opportunity to gain working experience within a complex unionised multi-site environment. This can be challenging and rewarding in equal measure and could be just what you are looking for to grow your payroll experience!
Typical Tasks include:
- Provide end to end processing support of PSC's payroll function
- Working with the Senior Payroll Advisor, prepare and complete the fortnightly payroll using Datacom
- Management of the on-boarding and off-boarding process, liaising with HR, Managers and employees as appropriate
- Work collaboratively as a member of the wider finance team
- Prepare fortnightly payroll reporting and deal with ad hoc pay queries as they arise
What you notice when you join PSC is that working closely together is how we make sure we get things done. Each team has it's areas of expertise, but we never forget we are all working for the benefit of the people we support as an organisation so it really helps to get to know how things tick for our colleagues.
If you join PSC you will have the opportunity to work with a great range of people from your small team, to the wider Central Office to our Managers - no two days will be the same!
