About the Role
As Head of Sales at Walter & Wild, you'll be the driving force behind our sales strategy, leading and inspiring a high-performing team to achieve ambitious growth targets across our diverse portfolio of iconic New Zealand brands. This is a leadership role, demanding strategic thinking, exceptional communication, and a proven track record of success in the FMCG sector. You'll be instrumental in shaping the future of our sales function and contributing directly to the overall success of the company.

The Role Will Involve

  • Developing and implementing comprehensive sales strategies aligned with overall company objectives.
  • Leading, mentoring, and motivating a high-performing sales team.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients and distributors.
  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
  • Managing sales budgets and forecasting accurately.
  • Analyzing sales data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborating with marketing and product development teams to ensure market alignment.
  • Representing Walter & Wild at industry events and conferences.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant sales regulations and policies.

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

  • Extensive experience in a senior sales leadership role within the FMCG industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving ambitious sales targets and building high-performing teams.
  • Strong understanding of sales strategies, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Tertiary qualification in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • A deep understanding of the New Zealand market is highly desirable.
