Mō te tūnga | About the role
The purpose of the Finance Group is to enable us to deliver Our Business within budget. Within the Financial Processing team, which provides financial support services nationally to NZ Police, there are four main functions of the role: Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Purchasing and Help Desk.
The main purpose of the role is providing efficient and effective high volume payment processing, creditor invoicing along with resolving vendor / customer queries and the ability to deliver within challenging timeframes.
The Finance Support Officer ensures that Police adhere to Finance Policy, performance standards and accounting rules. Being a high-volume processing centre, the ability to process high volumes, accurately and efficiently is a must in this role. You will be innovative and continually look to improve and add greater value to the service provided. You will have good interpersonal and communication skills, and an enthusiastic approach to work with a 'can-do' attitude.
Key Accountabilities:
- Process high volumes of invoices, accurately and efficiently, within set timeframes.
- Creditor/debtor statement reconciliation and reporting
- Resolution of queries and investigative problem solving
- Great customer service and communication skills

This role is based in the RNZPC area. Some travel may be required.

Utu ā-tau | Salary
This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence between $58,973 and $60,639 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
