Database Developer
Your role, your journey | Te Huarahi Whakatipu
As a Database Developer, you'll be responsible for designing, testing, planning, maintaining, and implementing reliable databases according to business requirements. You'll work closely with the wider Data Team, the Database Team, and Application Development Teams to provide solutions that meet data requirements. This role has opened due to an internal movement, so you'll be stepping into a well-established and exciting position.
How you'll show up | Tu mai Tu Rangatira
- Design stable, reliable, and effective database solutions.
- Optimise and maintain legacy databases.
- Modify databases according to requests and perform tests.
- Solve database usage issues and respond to related alerts.
- Provide data management support to users.
- Collaborate with the wider data team and application development teams to implement and support data-oriented development efforts, including code reviews.
- Develop documentation for new or changes to existing databases and database processes.
Technologies you'll work with:
- T-SQL, including Stored Procedures, Functions, Views
- MS SQL Server
- SSIS, SSRS, SSAS
- MySQL and PostgreSQL (advantageous)
- Source control technologies (Git, GitHub)
