We’re looking for a Receptionist/Duty Manager to be the welcoming first point of contact for our guests, ensuring seamless check-ins and check-outs, handling reservations, and delivering top-tier service. This is a dual role, where you will work both at the front desk as a Receptionist and step into the Duty Manager role to oversee hotel operations and guest satisfaction.

About the Role

You’ll be at the heart of our hotel’s operations, allocating rooms, promoting facilities, handling cashiering duties, and making sure guest concerns are handled like a pro. Got poise under pressure? You’ll need it! Whether it’s solving billing queries or handling guest complaints with professionalism, your ability to stay composed will set you apart.

As Duty Manager, you’ll oversee the smooth running of the hotel, assist guests with enquiries, liaise with different departments, and ensure guest comfort and safety. When working as a Receptionist, you’ll be providing exceptional front desk service, from check-in to check-out.

What We’re Looking For

  • Front desk experience, preferably in a 4+ star hotel.
  • Experience with Opera is a plus, but if you have reception experience and the right attitude, we want to hear from you.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to maintain a cool head under pressure.
  • Previous management or supervisory experience is an advantage.
  • LCQ, GM, and First Aid Certificates (or the ability to obtain them).
  • Fluency in English and a passion for exceptional customer service
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends is a must.

This role is 30+hours per week and you must be available for weekend and evening shifts. We will look after you with regular shifts, a friendly team and the prestige of being part of one of NZ's leading hotel brands. $25.50-32.50ph.
