In capital markets accounting advisory services at PwC, you will focus on providing strategic guidance on a broad range of technical accounting, financial reporting, transaction structures and capital markets topics. You will advise clients on complex accounting advisory and financial reporting issues around deals (both public and private) and other transformational business events that may impact an organisation’s value.

Our Financial & Sustainability Reporting Advisory Services team is a high performing team of experienced IFRS, PBE and climate standard specialists helping clients solve complex accounting and financial reporting challenges. Our team goes beyond just applying accounting standards. We often collaborate with other PwC advisory teams to assist clients in understanding the accounting outcomes of transactions they enter into, and play an integral part in working with our audit teams, developing guidance and upskilling them on topical financial reporting issues. We also work alongside our sustainability team to help organisations on their journey of reporting on how they manage climate-related risks and opportunities, which is one of the most critical emerging challenges businesses are facing today.

We’re looking for an individual to join our Tamaki Makaurau Financial & Sustainability Reporting Accounting Advisory Services team. In this role, you’ll play an integral part in working with our audit teams who support a wide range of clients, from market-leading public and private businesses to public sector organisations and government agencies. You will be supported by both our local team and our global network of specialists with deep knowledge of emerging accounting issues and extensive industry experience

As a Manager in our team, you will:

  • Collaborate with our audit teams to provide high quality technical accounting support on various complex accounting issues
  • Gain exposure to a wide range of audit clients across different industries whilst growing your technical knowledge
  • Assist in creating guidance for our audit teams and clients
  • Develop knowledge through appropriate research, keeping current with PwC’s technical and industry guidance and training
  • Drive business transformation by identifying and implementing better ways of working


Ngā pūkenga kei a koe / Skills and experience

  • CA qualified, with 5+ years of accounting experience, either in NZ or globally
  • A strong work ethic, self-motivated, with a proactive and confident approach to your work
  • An analytical mind with strong problem solving skills and attention to detail, able to break down complex accounting issues and formulate a view
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, and project management skills
  • Passionate about transforming existing ways of working
