Moth Light is an architectural lighting specialist. We provide lighting solutions - from lighting design to product supply and project coordination.

We're currently looking for a Sales Support Administrator to join our team in Napier.

This is a full time role working 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm.

The Sales Support person will report to the Finance and Importing Manager and work closely with the sales team to deliver lighting projects from conception to completion for the Auckland and Wellington offices while assisting the Napier office. They will also work closely with other Sales Support staff in other Moth Light offices.

Key tasks include:

  • Project administration.
  • Liaising with customers regarding their orders, deliveries, etc.
  • Providing support to the sales team.
  • Processing client orders.
  • Ordering products from suppliers and liaising with suppliers.
  • Checking in inwards goods and allocating stock to projects.
  • Ensuring goods are delivered to clients accurately and on time.
  • Invoicing customers.
  • Maintaining accurate inventory.
  • Quoting.
  • Using Adobe Illustrator and other lighting software to create lighting plans (with direction and training from the sales team).
  • Project scheduling to match plans.
  • Samples/register management.
  • Assisting with annual stock takes.
  • Completing other duties as required.


Our ideal candidate will demonstrate the following experience, qualifications and personal attributes:

  • Administration experience.
  • Technical lighting knowledge and experience is an advantage
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel etc.).
  • Experience with accounting/inventory systems.
  • Experience with CRM (customer relationship management) systems.
  • Experience with Adobe Illustrator is beneficial.
  • A professional, positive and friendly attitude.
  • Excellent written and oral communication.
  • Impeccable organisational skills.
  • Ability to prioritise.
  • Practical thinker and a good problem solver.
  • Thorough attention to detail.
  • Willingness to take ownership of tasks, cooperate and collaborate in a small team environment.
  • Flexible and adaptable.
  • The ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to learn and assist with lighting design.
