Job Description

SwimWell is looking for a Senior Aquatic Education Instructor to join their team at Karori. This is an exciting opportunity to grow your career and help make a difference to our programmes.

This role is a full time role working Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work depending upon timetable.

You'll be responsible for effectively delivering the SwimWell programmes - including ongoing development, implementation, maintenance and evaluation. You'll act as a mentor and role-model - as well as provide great customer service and a focus on promoting our programmes.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Be able to build and maintain strong relationships.
  • A passion for leadership and be able to motivate, coach and grow a team.
  • Excellent customer service and be able to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Experience in planning, rostering, organising and delivering high quality programmes.
  • A background in swimming is desirable but not essential.

We are looking to appoint from $64,404 per annum, for this role, depending on relevant skills and experience.

We're working for Wellington. Wellington City Council's team provides more than 400 services every day for Wellingtonians - everything from parks and pools to consents and cemeteries - playing our part in making Pōneke an inclusive, sustainable and creative capital for people to live, work and play.

Working for the Council offers you a range of benefits including 5 weeks annual leave, flexible working options, health and wellbeing support, Council staff discounts and a range of learning and development programmes and opportunities.

Applications close 17th February 2025. All applications must be submitted online.
