Fitter & Turner – Multiple Roles Available (TIG Welding Experience Essential)

Auckland-Based Opportunities | $35–$40/hr | Long-Term Work

We’re on the hunt for experienced Fitter & Turners to join our team in Auckland. With multiple positions available, this is a fantastic opportunity to secure long-term work with competitive pay, great conditions, and room to grow.

Some roles will involve shift work – exact details will be discussed with successful applicants.


What you’ll be doing:

You’ll be working on a range of exciting and varied projects, some of which are in food-grade or similar industrial environments.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Reading and interpreting drawings/specs to plan jobs
  • Fitting and assembling fabricated metal parts into machinery and equipment
  • TIG welding (essential)
  • Using precision instruments to check fit and accuracy
  • Operating machining tools to cut, grind, plane, bore and drill to tight tolerances
  • Installing hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Diagnosing faults and carrying out maintenance or repairs
  • Potentially assisting with equipment installation on-site


What we’re looking for:

  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a similar role
  • Formal qualifications are an advantage, but not essential - relevant work experience may be considered in place of a qualification.
  • Strong TIG welding skills
  • Experience in food industry or high-standard industrial environments is a big plus
  • Your own tools
  • Reliable transport
  • Two work references
  • A commitment to health & safety
  • Able to pass a pre-employment drug test
