Senior Transaction Manager – Merchant Acquiring
Permanent Full-time role
Based in Britomart, Auckland

Westpac is New Zealand’s market leader in delivering complex payments, technology and data solutions to business banking, institutional and government customers. We have a fantastic opportunity for a solution-oriented person who is a driver of change to join our Transactional Banking team.

Mō te tūranga | About the role
This is a front-line role which supports the Relationship Managers and the Transaction Solutions Managers to deliver great outcomes for new and existing merchant acquiring customers. It is key role with a focus on developing our merchant acquiring proposition in the New Zealand market. Having a deep understanding of the payment landscape, you will possess strong leadership skills and a strategic mindset to navigate the complexities of the merchant acquiring sector. This is a fantastic opportunity if you have a strong work ethic, solution mind-set, a keen attention to detail and enjoy contributing to your team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive strategies to expand the merchant acquiring client base to drive engagement across the businesses in IBB
  • Fostering strong relationships with internal stakeholders and 3rd parties to enhance our product offering to customers
  • Build and train our front-line people to provide understand, guidance and support to the Transaction Solutions team
  • Working directly with the merchant acquiring product team to influence the development of new products, product enhancements and tech to ensure the right customer outcomes are being built.
  • Develop and maintain key relationships with vendors and industry developments to stay ahead of the market
