Waiheke Kindergarten is a Green Gold Enviroschool, with a strong focus on sustainability, play-based learning, and fostering meaningful connections with tamariki, whānau, and the natural environment. Our kindergarten provides a nurturing and engaging learning space, where children are encouraged to explore, create, and grow.
About the Role
As an unqualified reliever, you will play an essential role in supporting our teaching team. You will assist in creating a warm, welcoming, and safe environment for tamariki, helping them to learn through play, engage with nature, and build confidence in their abilities.
This is a casual position, offering flexibility to work as needed. Relievers are booked through the Jitbug app, making it easy to manage your availability and accept shifts.
What We're Looking For
We are seeking caring and energetic individuals who:
Have experience working with children, ideally in an early childhood or education setting
Are passionate about supporting tamariki in their learning and development
Are adaptable, positive, and reliable
Enjoy working as part of a team and building relationships with tamariki and whānau
Are comfortable working outdoors and supporting sustainability-focused learning
