Job Description

Class 2 Recycling Driver
In this physically active role, you'll be navigating the streets of Palmerston North, collecting recycling, and helping keep the community clean. If you're fit, energetic, and eager to be part of a team that makes an impact, this job is for you!

Your Role:

  • Drive a left-hand drive truck while standing and collecting recycling
  • Sort glass recycling by colour and empty bins along your route
  • Work efficiently to complete your collection runs on time
  • Keep your vehicle clean and report any maintenance needs
  • Contribute to a sustainable environment in your community


What We Offer:

  • Stable, Full-Time Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:15 AM - 4:30 PM (approx.), with occasional Saturdays
  • Competitive Pay: Weekly pay
  • Full Support: PPE provided, plus one month of training to get you up to speed
  • Job Security: Long-term with opportunities for growth
  • No Experience? No Problem: Previous Class 2 driving experience is not required!


What You Need:

  • Class 2 Full License (must be current)
  • Physical Fitness: You'll be on the move, collecting and sorting recycling
  • Clean Background: Must pass a pre-employment drug test and an MOJ check
  • Knowledge of Palmerston North's Streets is a plus, but not essential
